Magpie is the latest expression of Debra Clarke's 30-year career as a collector, curator, and trusted resource for designers and homeowners alike. Her background includes shops in Washington, DC, Richmond, and Leesburg; managing the Southeast office for Freeman's Auction; and decades spent "picking" for designers and shop owners up and down the East Coast.

Now settled at 8517 Germantown Avenue, Magpie brings Debra's distinct point of view to Chestnut Hill - a constantly evolving collection of carefully chosen antiques, select consignments, and the occasional unexpected new piece.

Inspired by its namesake, the magpie-one of the few birds known to build and decorate its nest for both function and beauty-Magpie reflects a curatorial approach rooted in discernment, detail, and joy. In Debra's version of vintage, only pieces that have already proven their worth-those that have turned vintage into value-find a place.
